Drillthrough

A drillthrough page enables you to examine the source records for a single data value of a report.

Note: You can only drill through if drillthrough has been enabled by the OLAP cube administrator, and if the database where the source records reside is accessible. If no data values in a report are underlined it means that drillthrough is not supported for that report.

Microdata

Microdata may be provided as well as, or instead of, drillthrough data. Microdata may provide access to more source records than drillthrough, and it also offers increased functionality. For example, you cannot drill through calculated values, but you can access microdata for calculated values.

In most cases the help topics for drillthrough data also apply to microdata, and the terms are used interchangeably.

Report-level microdata may also be provided. Report-level microdata includes source level information about an entire report. To access report-level microdata, click View as: Microdata in a report page (a table or a chart).
