Search for members (Report contents)

To locate a particular dimension member in the Members tab, you can perform either a basic or an advanced search.

Note: The search box may not appear for dimensions that do not have a lot of members.

Note: There may also be a field in the pagination area for Jump to member containing, which quickly pages to the first instance of a search term. Click Next to repeat.

Basic search

To perform a basic member search, do one of the following:

• Enter one or more search terms in the search box, and then click the "Search members" button.
• Select Tools menu> Search> Basic search. The Basic search dialog appears. Enter one or more search terms in the search box, and then click Search.

A list appears showing all the dimension members that contain the search terms.

Show all members

To clear the search results, do one of the following:

• Click Show all members.
• Select View menu> Show all members.

Advanced search

To perform an advanced member search, do one of the following:

• Click the arrow button for "More search options" and select Advanced search.
• Select Tools menu> Search> Advanced search.

  The Advanced search dialog appears.
