No-frames help

A Perspective help system that does not use frames appears as a group of expandable topic headings. You can click on any topic heading to expand or collapse it.

• The following image shows a no-frames help system in a spawned window.

  

• The headings are arranged in a tree structure that shows the way the Perspective application pages are arranged.
• When you click the "Help" button or select Help> Help in Perspective, the topic for the current Perspective page is automatically expanded and opened. You can scroll up and down to view the help for other pages and subsections.
• Links for Show all and Hide all are provided at the top and bottom of the page. Clicking the links expands or collapses all the topics at once.

To search in no-frames help:

1. Click Show all, at the top or the bottom of the page, to expand all the topics.
2. Use your web browser's "Find on this page" command. (Edit menu> Find, or else: CTRL-F.)

To close the Help window:

• If a no-frames help system appears in its own spawned, or "popup" window, you can simply click the X button to close the window.

  

• If a no-frames help system does not appear in a spawned window, it occupies the entire Perspective screen. In that case the menus and toolbar buttons are not accessible when the help is open.

  To return to Perspective from the help, click your browser's "Back" button once (or else press Alt+Left Arrow). Only one click is required to return to Perspective, no matter how many help topics you may have expanded and viewed, because no-frames help does not use hyperlinks for navigation.

  Note: Do not click the X button to close the help if it is not in a spawned window, because that will shut down the Perspective application.
