Frames help

A Perspective help system in frames has three tabs:

• Contents - Shows all the help topics in the order that they appear in the help.
• Index - Shows all the help topics in alphabetical order, along with a selection of keywords.
• Search - Allows you to search for a word or phrase in the help.

To search in a frames help system:

1. Click the Search tab.
2. Type a word or phrase in the text box and click Go.

   

To close the help window:

• If a frames help system appears in its own spawned, or "popup" window, you can simply click the X button to close the window.

  

• If a frames help system does not appear in a spawned window, it occupies the part of the Perspective application window directly underneath the toolbar. The menus and toolbar buttons are accessible.

  

  To return to Perspective from the help, you can do any of the following:

  • Click Show report list, or else click View menu> Show report list. Returns to the Report list page.
  • Click Return to previous view, or else click View menu> Return to previous view. Returns to the previously-viewed table, chart, or drillthrough page.

    Note: Do not click the X button to close the help if it is not in a spawned window, because that will shut down the Perspective application.
